DIY Exfoliating Body Scrub

Hey guys! Apologies for not updating in a while. I was basically sick for the whole month of March and I wasn't able to make posts due to my illness as well as school. However, I'll try to update as often as I can now that I'm feeling better.

Anyways, I noticed that after the long period of cold weather here in Vancouver, my skin has become dry, chapped, and rough despite applying numerous amounts of moisturizer. At the moment, I'm in desperate need of an exfoliating scrub so I searched around my kitchen to see if I had ingredients to make a homemade scrub. AND LUCKILY I DID.

All you need are three simple ingredients: sugar, green tea (or matcha powder), and coconut oil!

First, take out the green tea bag and make a slit.

Empty out its contents into a small bowl/container and add in one heaping table spoon of sugar. Mix.

Afterwards, you want to add as much coconut oil that can combine with the green tea/sugar mix. I ended up adding 1 and 1/2 tablespoons. Mix together until clumps form and VOILA, YOU'RE DONE! How easy was that?

The scrub is ready for application. You can use this as a face or body scrub!

After washing the scrub off, my skin felt rejuvenated and moisturized.

Health benefits:
Sugar: Evens out skin stone, tightens pores, and removes dead skin cells.
Green tea/Matcha: Reduces inflammation on skin and slows down process of aging.
Coconut oil: Retains moisture in skin and protects skin from cracking.
